An elderly man who has vanished and is in peril.
On March 28, 2023, deputies from the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office were requested to the Plaza Apartments in Staunton at 1736 HRS about a report of a missing elderly male.
Richard C. Carey, 76, was last seen by his caregiver earlier today, around 0600 HRS. Mr Carey, who suffers from dementia, was last seen wearing a white plaid shirt, blue jeans, and a grey toboggan. Additionally, he was donning a mossy oak camouflage jacket.
Supposedly, Carey frequents 7-11 convenience stores. Neither a phone nor a car is owned by Mr Dot Carey.
